A truly utilitarian piece, this World War II English haversack was once an essential for French and English cavalry soldiers. The haversack was used to carry oats and horse fodder, and sometimes ammunition and other supplies. When not in use, it could be folded down and easily carried on a soldier’s belt. This haversack, likely issued in 1943, is in good vintage condition and can be used as a modern backpack to hold a wide variety of equipment.
