A delightful little lace or 'fichu' pin dating to the latter Georgian era and expressing that delicate lavender hued Amethyst loveliness which was so fashionable in those days, the colour seen in the silks and brocades of stylish clothing at the time. Circa 1810, the tiny brooch is framed in 9ct Gold with a snake scaled like border oft seen in jewels of the time.
Measures 2cm lengthwise and fastens with the original shaped pin.
